Traumatic Kithood: Born within the deserts of Skopun to a large troop of fennec foxes, Tafrara was within a litter of four kits: herself, two brothers and a sister. She generally got along well with her family, learning how to survive from her mother and how to identify and utilize herbs from her father. At roughly 6 months, however, her life would forever change. One night, her mother and father left while she and her kin slept, only to return in a panicked rush, followed by a chorus of 'laughter'. It was then she learned a clan of hyenas had attacked their troop territory, killing any living being in their wake. Tafrara's family was chased all the way to the bordering river, where her mother and father quickly tried to evacuate their children to the other side. However, the current was too strong for the tiny foxes, and all were swept away. Tafrara was the only one to make it to the other side, only due to the fact her father managed to hold onto her long enough to get her to the shoreline before he himself was swept away due to fatigue and exhaustion. The very last memory of her family was seeing them being dragged away by the river with the hyenas pursuing them from the shoreline. Her father's last words to her before he slipped away were: "Find Mangata, Little Lightning. Don't be afraid..."

Memories of Skopun: After Tafrara wandered aimlessly for "Mangata", she would come across Ashanti, a painted dog who took her in and showed her her pack. It was here she learned Mangata was the name of the pack, and this pack was a large gathering of canines from all walks of life. She became a Laeknir, or healer, and through her father's teachings and mother's discipline, she quickly ascended to the Vanir of Laeknirs, making many new friends as she did. In addition, she found love in a fox named Constance, and formed a mateship with her. She even came to know Xellie and Amber as her new adoptive mothers after they helped her grow after coming to Mangata. However, while this pack welcomed her with open paws and given a loving second family, it wasn't without danger or challenges. Wildfires, the loss of Thema and Constance, and the Grima War all pushed her beyond her limits, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Despite all of it, she still stood tall even in the face of Akhlut, bearing witness to Juneau's and Ashanti's power as they annihilated the leader of the Grima. Afterward, she would continue her work as a healer and herbal researcher. But it would not last long as Skopun suddenly began to break apart. With it, the loss of many canines, including Mundi.

Life in Myrkur: As Skopun tore itself apart, Mangata found a place among Myrkur, living near several feline clans. Tafrara continued to develop her skills, though as she did, she came across a new member: Masimba, a brown hyena, who quickly rose to Vanir Laeknir just as she did. His laughter and appearance triggered many horrid memories when she was in the deserts of Skopun, causing her to lash out at him, believing he was a part of the hyena clan that chased down and drove her family into the river. This in turn caused turmoil and rifts to open, which she struggles to heal still. In addition, as conflicts and dangers continue to arise, Tafrara continues to be tested and strained beyond her limits. Only time will tell if she will stand firm just as she did in the Grima War, or fall to madness.
